Thread: what can cause this, please help!!

ok other than the ecu throwing codes, what else can cause the check engine cel to light up?? i have a feeling its a grounding issue but can not locate it to save my life. my cel comes on and my car acts lick it going to turn of and makes some clicking noises then keeps goin. and my cel check engine light is on but when i scan it no codes are found? please help? if anyone knows the prob i will seriousily send then 50 bucks, please help!!

sounds like under the cluster or by the fuse box can quite tell

ACC Relay probably. Check all grounds, powers and associated fuses. Put your hand up there and feel which one is clicking. You wont get shocked...wear gloves anyway...

If its a very light tick while driving, it may also just be the odometer you are hearing. Mine hasn't been greased in awhile and makes a slight tick.

ok will keep in mind for future, turned out to be faulty ecu! sucked lol. thanks for responses.
