AC only works at speed 4
my AC only works on when i set it at speed 4 which is sometimes too cold. they had said it might be a sensor but does anybody know the name of the sensor or what it might be

blower resistor under the dash on passenger side. you can pull one in the junkyard and stuff it in your pocket or order a new one. They used to be about $20 new.

I've had bad experiance with after market blower motor resistors so try and purchase one from nissan.

WTF..."stick it in your pocket..." Uh...no.

Call Greg V at forum vendor G-Spec.

Yes, it is the blower resistor motor. Also, they changed the design in production at some point. So if the new one looks a bit different from the old one, don't sweat it, it will work. I'm on my third blower resistor motor, but that is in a time-frame of 18-years.

When I knew someone at Nissan they got the resistor for me for their price and it was still like $50. Chances are junkyard resistors are gonna be shot too. But if you do try this, its the same in any Nissan. I took the good one out of my 200sx and put it in my altima for the winter and it works.

Inflation's a bitch! I bought a new OEM from GregV about 10 years ago and it was around $20-25.
