Thread: Anti-theft Issue

Whats up guys im new to the forum and to the SR20 world. I have a 98' 200SX SE-R. Picked it up about a month ago for a good price. Since its been sitting ive started it everyweek. Couple days ago I went to unlock the doors to do the usual routine and the anti-theft goes off. I remember the owner before me telling me about key in the door to shut it off. My key and the duplicate i had made doesn't work in the driver side door -__-. So until then i have the anti-theft fuses unplugged until figured out. Has anyone come across this issue from one time to another? Can anyone give me a few pointers? thanks

it's been 13 years since I've messed with mine...but when i installed an aftermarket alarm i had to trick the factory anti-theft. There are two wires that lead to the lock cylinder in the driver's door, (I don't remember the colors, but i'm sure you can pull up the FSM somewhere and determine which ones they are, but I remember it being pretty obvious) I cut them and twisted them together which closed the circuit. This way the stock antitheft will never accidently be triggered.
