Spark plug tube gasket
Yesterday I changed the valve cover and spark plug tube gasket. On the new spark plug gasket I noticed a little nub thing on the back side. Was I suppose to cut that off? The old one didn't have that nub thing.

Guess it's not an issue. Greg V said it's nothing to worry about. I just though it was weird the new gasket had the nub and the old one didn't. Was the old gasket aftermarket? New gasket is from Nissan.

Thanks man. I was worried that nub would not make the gasket sit flat.

If you feel its in the way of the seal you can take a razor blade and carefully slice it away but I think I if it sits on the side it won't interfere with the seal.

I'll leave it for now. If it starts leaking i'll take it apart and cut that thing off.
