Spark plug tube gasket
Yesterday I changed the valve cover and spark plug tube gasket. On the new spark plug gasket I noticed a little nub thing on the back side. Was I suppose to cut that off? The old one didn't have that nub thing.

Guess it's not an issue. Greg V said it's nothing to worry about. I just though it was weird the new gasket had the nub and the old one didn't. Was the old gasket aftermarket? New gasket is from Nissan.
could be but it could be a lot of things. you shouldnt worry its not a problem.

If you feel its in the way of the seal you can take a razor blade and carefully slice it away but I think I if it sits on the side it won't interfere with the seal.
