Original starter?
My starter just died on me. How can I tell if this starter is the original? My car has 130000 miles on it. If this helps any the starter says Nissan and Mitsubishi on it.

I'm thinking it's original. What is it with Nissan and starters? Is it just me or do they go bad pretty fast? Someone once told me it had something to do with the location of the starter. I remember my moms 87 200sx had starter problems, went through 3 of them in 5 years. Her 97 200sx was better, but I remember changing 2 starters on it within 10 years. Seems like they go bad prematurely.

I'll be going with a Vatozone starter. It says Mistu on it, but I know Autozone rebuilds don't last very long. It does have a life time warranty so i'll just replace it when it fails. One year seems to be the consensus for these rebuilds.
yeah the starter on my dads g20 went out at 120k it was replaced with a nissan oem one, but your best bet would be a mitsu. but that warranty on the vatozone starter seems good.

It definitely is better with 2 people. I guess I got lucky because my hands are fat.
