Thread: Sunroof Question

I have owned numerous b13's and b14's but have never come across a b14 with a "pop-up" style sunroof. I bought another b14 today and the sunroof isn't the typical motorized roll back sunroof. Is this factory or did someone install this aftermarket?

Mine had a factory motorized roll back sunroof that tilts up. I the original owner told be the 200SX SE-R only had 2 options it could be ordered with one being ABS and the other an Auto or moonroof, but I can remember which

It's been many years since I bought my '96 SE-R new off the showroom floor... but I seem to remember the moonroof was standard on them with the only options being ABS and Auto (mine has neither). There were many dealership installed options though (bra, moonroof wind deflector, center armrest, car cover, ect).

Well I wonder if the previous owner of my car had the "moonroof" break on them so rather than fix the rollback one they installed some sort of aftermarket popup one.

Is the moonroof switch there in the headliner? If not, then you have an aftermarket pop-up roof.

Their was some 200sx ser's without moon roof, ive seen one before. Just rare really rare to find.
