Hi guys
I couldn't find an intro section so if this is in the wrong section I appolagize. I recently bought a hi port sr20de and tranny at a bone yard and was wondering if the tranny and engine were dimensionally the same as the low port (will it bolt into a b14)?

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Usually people here just introduce themselves in the "Members Rides" and post a picture of their car. It's the thread up above when you go back before this page. Congrats on your motor and tranny by the way. If I may suggest, if you do plan on swapping the SR20DE into a B14, to please do research before asking any questions that might already be answered here. This site has been up for several years, and theres a lot of people with incredible knowledge on our SR20 powered cars and have already done write ups for questions like this one. Just giving you a head's up before you ask another question that has been answered already and someone here falmes on you. But other than that, yes, the SR20DE highport you have will fit into a B14.

Here's a link that I found by using the "Search" option up at the top of the site. http://www.sr20-forum.com/general-sr20/45819-question-sr20de-high-lowport.html

Make it your best friend, and take time to look around. Welcome again, and I wish you luck with your car!

Thanks for the welcome and info. I've been trying to do as much research as I can but I'm still trying to get this forum figured out. I pulled the motor and trans from a 91 Infiniti G20 it has an auto transmission. I scored everything for $200 (motor, tranny, harness and ecu) so I'm hoping the tranny will fit right in until I can do a 5-speed swap. I already know I'll have to have a different tranny mount.

what year b14 do you have?
Is your car and auto or stick?
Yes the lowport/highport will work. Just the intake manifolds are different. I have a block from a highport in my b14 using a lowport head.

Hi lourok it's a 95 nissan sentra. I've seen a highport in a 98 before so I know the engine will work a bulk of the question was aimed towards if the automatic tranny I bought with will work with the correct tranny mount. Also does anyone have an extra oil dip stick? Mine didn't have one and would like to source one.

Yes sir it is. The way it sits in the pics I posted isn't the way it is now as I've begun the tear down and cleaning process. The local machine shop is going to perform a thermal clean and resurface on the head and a hot tank cleaning and resurface on the block. I'm going to have the valve cover cleaned as well then I'm going to paint it. Any recammendations on a quality gasket set I know cometic makes an exceptional mls head gasket.

after blasting with a pressure washer, engine degreaser and brake parts cleaner it's starting to look better. It was caked with cv joint grease, oil and other shit mainly just knocking the shit off so I can get to nuts and bolts easier.
