Any interest in machined aluminum front license plate fillers? UPDATE CAD PHOTOS 3/15
The recessed front license plate area in the stock B14 front bumper has always bothered me. I have access to a CNC, and I was thinking it might be pretty cool to machine some filler plates from aluminum with words in them.
I could probably make the words raised, recessed, or cut through. It could say anything, like sr20-forum.com, SE-R, Turbo, SR20 Powered, ect.
What do you guys think? I know I am going to make at least one for myself. I could keep the cost relatively low, but it would probably be over 25 or 30 bucks each, mostly because aluminum plate is expensive. Ill try to get around to drawing up some 3D models for you guys.
Isn't this spot ugly? looks like something is missing:
EDIT: here are some solidworks models I threw together, just to give you guys an idea. Cut through looks a little silly with any stencil style letters. Just etching is probably the way to go. I'll play around with a few things and see what I can come up with. Does anyone know what font the forum logo is?
