Thread: Tranny question

I found a used tranny here on the forum. My b14 does not have a 5th gear. The tranny this guy has is a b13 LSD tranny. Will this tranny bolt right up in my car? I am pretty sure that the sensors and such are different. Anyone have any insight on this?

It will bolt up fine, the speed sensor will be different and the main difference is there is no hole for the crank sensor.
I am running one in my car.

but be careful b13's have a higher chance of their 5th gear popping out as well

What did you do about the crank sensor and the speed sensor

Speed sensor you swap out with your current sensor and you leave the crank sensor disconnected. Like BJ200sx said, they have a super high chance of getting pop out. Mine is only a temp solution til I get a Spec V or P11 trans.

Don't bother unless the 5th gear has been fixed in the B13.

If it has, use the B13 but put the B14 outer case on it so you have the opening for the cps. It's simple and saves you from the cel code.
