Thread: keyless entry question

well i been wanting to get the Key fob since the guy that sold me the car never gave it to me. can i just buy any cheapo keyless? and how hard is it to program, would i have to go to nissan for it? all i need is lock unlock and trunk maybe. dont need nothing fancy dont want engine start, just basics

i have no problem using a key, but i have a 2 1/2 yr old and for car seat purposes it helps so much, i have the PS seat removed as well for ease of car seat removal/inst.

there is a wright up on this somewhere. you need a certain key fob for it to work probable. ebay has them for sale all over the price. find the correct one, then install to for your car.

i use the 3T model, but if you get that one, you have to make sure that it is the one with a panic button, not a trunk release button. the trunk release button model will NOT work.

to set it up, i believe you get inside the car, close the door and lock it. then insert the key into the ignition, an turn it to acc mode, and back like 10 times, when the flashers blink, its in programming mode. then hit the unlock button on the remote and you should be done.

Ebay! Or just post in the wanted section here. That's what I did with great luck. Programming it was super easy and took all of about 15 seconds.

get the matching keyfob, get in the car and leave the doors unlocked. Insert and remove the key from the ignition (3 times?) until your hazard lights flash. Then press the lock door button on the key fob, your doors should lock and you should be set. This is at least what worked for me in my 200sx.
