Thread: Headliner removal?

I know the basics, A/B&C panelling come out, along with the visors and the oh shit handles...

Issue is, I'm not 100% sure of how to remove the panels over the B/C pillars (surrounding the rear windows). I see the obvious remove the door rubber shit, the front seat belts, etc. Do I need to remove the rear tray over the speakers as well? & How do the B/C plastics come out, are they just snapped on??

on a B13, there are four snap-to-fit plastic nails/screws above the back seat... don't know about B14

It's been a couple years since I took the back of the interior apart, I don't remember exactly. My modus operandi is usually to look for a screw, if there is no screw, jam something flat under it and pry until one of two things happens. It comes off. Or it breaks, and you get a new piece.

Yes sunroof, but I am pretty sure I can figure that out. My main issue is getting the B/C pillar covers off without breaking them.

just a few clips and they will pop off. remove the lower panel 1st.

Also helps to have the front seats either out the car or fully reclined back. Always easy with it out.

The fun part is trying to get the headliner in an out the doors in a B14.In a B13 it fits,but I had to fold it slightly on the B14.
I was real nervous reinstalling trying not to fuk it up.
Its like the headliner was put in at the factory before the doors or windshield or something.

Yeah, It was the same way in my old honda. I'm sure I'll be ok getting it out. It's looking like it's had it's day so I picked up some new fabric for it. Did the door panel inserts already. So much for anti-rice... it's a black crushed velvet.. Looks great on the door panels, but far from OEM. Isn't bright nor attention grabbing like the civic was though.
