FINALLY got Barney back today!! Had a nice drive home from the mechanic as well.
Forgot to mention,
@SER96VSPEC (Robert) tucked Barney's throttle cable (Thank God there is no more random wire running across the engine bay lol) But due to Barney having the Thermoblok spacer on the TB, we maxed out the slack adjustment, so at WOT, I was probably only at 90-95% throttle.
I fixed that today but adding two 3/8 flat washers. It's like it was meant to be, no slack whatsoever while allowing the TB to close all the way. Now I got to see how much power the throwing on the 2.5 ebay downpipe gave Barney. Definitely no power losses, but a little more peppy up top.
Speaking of "power" Do you guys remember how around the last dyno day, I talked about putting on the Sun Auto Hyper Voltage Stabilizer?
This:
Well I totally forgot about it and came across it in my garage so I put that on today and I only have good things to say about the product. As soon as I started Barney up, I noticed a smoother start up and Idle. A few blips of the throttle revealed smoother engine operation. Tonight I noticed that my headlights or DRL's dont act up on me anymore (Drivers side headlight would go out when I turn on the left turn signal occasionally and my LED DRL's would flicker on and off if I hit bumps lol) I also noticed that my cluster was brighter than usual and my A/C controls were also lit up brighter.
Now, as for any real power gains, I'm not sure if it's me, but Barney seems to feel stronger throughout the entire rpm range and I
feel like I have more TQ around the 2k-4k range. I did a 2nd-4th gear pull on the Freeway and he definitely went through 2nd and 3rd gear much faster than I can remember. Now I really want to have Barney Dyno's again to see how much he is putting down!!!!
