CV Axle Differences NX2000 vs. 200SX SE-R
I picked up the following part at AdvancedAuto for my 200sx SE-R with a high-port swap: Manufacturer Part#: NCV53516 and it looks the inner boot on the passenger side is really stretched out. I looked it up online after the installation and it appears it's actually for a NX2000 rather than a 200SX.

This brings up a couple of questions: Is the lenth of the CV driveshaft on the passenger side the same for both cars? It seems that my original 200SX driveshaft was longer by 1/2" to 1". The NX2000 part works for now, but will it fail?

Thanks!

Unless it's LSD there is no difference.

I just realized that I didn't reply to this, so thank you!

BTW - I'll assume you mean the LSD shafts in the NX and LSD shafts in the SE-R are the same and LSD to non-LSD are different, which would make sense.

Yea... doesn't matter if it's a NX or SE-R. It depends on the tran's. If you have a non-LSD tran's then you can't use a LSD axle.

Well that's true to Larry but the ABS ring can also be knocked off. Good point.
