Thread: tach

For the last 2 weeks my tach needle has been bouncing around..sometimes it works after a few minutes . and sometimes it doesnt work at all...Anybody have an idea what's going on?? I put gauge overlays on it about 3 yrs ago and had to remove the needles , but havent had any problems till now

Tach's die; yo. Try a known good one? 93-99 tachs should work .

you can get used instrument clusters pretty cheap.. i just picked up a B13 cluster for $40

Mine has been doing the same thing. It finally stopped bouncing alot around and just idles and reads higher than it should. Once the car warms up it settles down.
