New headliner, what to do next
Tonight I put danny2.0 old headliner in my car, now I think its time for a color scheme change.

before

Edit: no idea why its showing up upside down, just turn your monitor over.

After headliner

Current color scheme

I have his old carpet that matches the headliner, that is going in later on.

What should I change the white to?
Leave it like it is.
Metallic blue like the valve cover and intake mani.

Blue trying to match the headliner (if I can find a rattle can that matches).
Black.
Silver.

the blue is ricey man. Color matched interior parts is fail. The black looks 1500 times better and clean

I know its just a headliner but its actually going to be part of my buisness, I'm going to be opening a shop doing general mechanical, and custom interior mods, along with audio and alarms
.
I have a seasonal job and I am unemployed 7 months a year so between this and photography it will fill the gap

Mike I see your work in person all the time and you do very good work. I like the blue on black the way the headliner/sunroof is now. Switch the white parts between black and blue. Mix them tastefully.

OK. You like the black, and stated your two (2) reasons why your choice is black.

Another vote for the option black, for the same two (2) reasons.

A one-stop shop. I go to seperate shops for every one of those items. It would not be bad at all to have it all under one roof.

It should be no suprise at all that I do not like any of the matching color schemes on interior trim. I am ancient, those types of mods look ricey, youngster-oriented, and way too flashy for me. My entire interior color of choice is black. On black. On black. With a smattering of red stitching.

I can empathize with defending friends, but no one attacked him, and I am not attacking you sir.

He opened a thread asking for opinions about interior color matching. You do not get to selectively limit folks on their opinions when starting a thread. This ain't a court of law, the OP ain't cross examining a hostile witness "Just answer the question yes or no." You cannot reasonably object to folks elaborating on their opinion on a car forum, including giving two (2) honest reasons why.

Now the OP not only knows that three votes are firmly for black, but why. Which is more useful than a curt, short, barked "black."

Nobody dogged the OP, trashed, flamed him or even called him a Ricer. Just stated the interior painting looks ricey and dated. It goes without saying that is an honest opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.

He did not ask for opinions on his work, he only asked about colors. Were you elaborating...? .....

Good to know if I ever required his expertise in changing my entire interior to black on black that Mike does good work.

I kinda started this thread to possibly see what a potential customer would say in their mind when looking at my car. I will be using my car/s as examples of work I have done, I have pictures of past work, but I have found that customers respond better on past work seen in person than pictures.
.
basically I wanted to see how other people would think it looked best.
.
I was leaning towards black, but I figured the dashboard is black so repainting the white black again would be just like stock, but then again its flat black so it might look good.
.
I am currently looking for a 1953-56 Ford F-100 (pickup or panel version) to do a resto-mod to, I want to buy it in June or so, that way I will have the summer to finish it. I want to chop the roof 3-4" put a Chevy 350 crate engine with a 4 speed trans, paint it flat black, burnt orange or a dark green, restore/ replace the wood bed and cover it with a topper (pickup version), the interior of course, and possibly lower it with a mustang II or equivalent suspension with disc brakes , I will be using that truck as the work truck owned by the business, I will use that truck for the mobile repair option of the business. All that I have been finding so far is rusted out non restorable trucks and $18,000+ fully restored versions, I prefer to spend less than $4000 to get the truck.

One thing you may consider is offering a way to make a customers car all black or selectively black inside. Using a product that will permanently stain/dye/color the interior trim to black. I am literally going to scour salvage yards to find all black interior bits (grab handles, dome light, etc...) from other Nissan/Infiniti models. It might appeal to some of your potential customers to be able to send off interior bits and have a company guarantee a permanent, non-scratching, black color job that will last and last.
