i have tried 40 mins before and it did not clear. it all depends on what the condition is of the battery on the ECU that keeps the info in the self learning and how good or bad it is.

i never tried to find the minimum amount of time to see what it takes to reset an ecu because i have a consult cable and a laptop now. i click one button and reset my ECU.

sounds good....i will try to leave it off overnight.....i guess the ecu also needs time to adjust bacc to the s3 cams so i will reset it and then give it a couple days 2 c if it learns and adjusts...thanks

ecu reset screw
on the back, nissan gave us a reset screw. with key on/engine off, use a small standard screwdriver turn the screw till it stops. return it to its starting position, you're done! no waiting!! this will reset the ecu and clear any stored codes.
to retrieve codes just turn it the 1st time and count the flashes (long and short) of the MIL. return it to starting position, codes cleared.

Glad you got it fixed but for future reference, to reset the ecu you must disconnect the two battery terminals from the battery and touch them together. You have to close the circuit. Leave them touching for 5 mins and everything will be reset. No need for overnights or hours. As long as the positive and negative terminals are touching then you are good.
