i want to upgrade the speakers in my car and wasnt sure on the size. they look to be 6.5's all the way around but i want to be 100% before i get anything.
another way to tell is to have a speaker connected and use a AA battery to pop the speaker. Solder a wire to each end of the battery, careful to not overheat. connect the positive to one wire and the negative to the other to a speaker. if the speaker moves out then the polarity is correct, if it moves in then just reverse the wires. The positive battery wire is now your positive speaker wire.

yup, thanks wayne and squirlz for the info. i actually just finished installing the drivers side speaker and it works fine but after i installed the passenger side speaker, no sound comes out. the factory speaker didnt work as well and didnt play music either. i know that everything was wired correctly which makes me believe its something to do with the headunit.
