Thread: Premium or regular gas?

I have been thinking about this for sometime now. I've been using premium gas since I bought this car in October 07. Am I waisting my money? Dude who I bought my car from told me he always used premium gas. How about you guys? What do you use in your B14's?

Only...Use.. PREMIUM. But seriously, premium is better for your car, its all i use. And if you have your timing advanced you need to. Also i run premium, and add octane booster with evey fill up.

cuz why run anything else and waste ur money on a daily driver

Drivers opinion......I have heard the higher octane has better detergents/additives, could be a myth....I will always use 91, because my daily driver means a lot to me......

your the dude dude.. My 71 datsun 510 has over 290k on it and still runin, and all i have ever ran in her is super, my dad also ran super in her when he owned her.

as far as detergents go the brand is more important that the octane rating.

if your N/A with near stock timing using high octane fuel is a WASTE its your money so I don't care waste it

I guess I will be going back to using Chevron and Shell. I've been using Arco, BP for you guys that don't know Arco. BP and Arco, same stuff. Not very good gas from what I hear.

I only use AMOCO (BP) fuels. I use that on my 01 lexus, 07 tacoma and my boosted b14 and I can tell you that is the best fuel I ever tried. I've used shell and Chevron and the cars run crappy and I get HORRIBLE MPG.

On that list QT is on the top and IMO QT is the biggest POS of gas ever made. I wonder how they rate that "top tier" thing.

I only run premium because it's boosted.
