What's your koni setup?
This year is the year of the driveline and suspention for my baby and i was thinking of swaping out my AGXs for some konis since everyone thinks they're the bomb. So what types are people running and how does it feel? I know there is like a few options for your front, what about the rear? From what i was reading it sounds like running spec Vs up front is the best way to go. Opinions? And what the hell is up with the color thing? Red, yellow, or rainbow (yes, i know there is no rainbow koni)?

I'm going to be running these with my brand new RM GenII springs, re-using my koni bumpstops, keeping my front cusco camber plates, and getting some custom pilow mounts for the rear to add about an inch more travel.

Is no one running Konis or are we waiting on someone to tell me to use the search button?

EDIT: Ok, did soe searching on the other forum and got this so far (for future searchers refrance):

Koni Yellows from a Spec V is the best for the B14, front and rear. On the rears we have to make sure to order the B14 perches with it. In the front the set up saves you about 1 extra inch. All are fully adjustable externally.

Sounds like the route I'm going to go.

Thats a good new! I was looking for some konis for my b14 but I dont like the fact that they cant be adjusted externally. Please let us know if this works for real.

Where are you getting the rear pillow mounts?

There is lots of info on the other forum about specv inserts in the front and rear. Do not go over 400lb springs with them though. There are plenty of write ups as well on how to do this. I have them bookmarked at home. I can post some links tonight.

I found what I was looking for over there. I'm running road magnets, so I'm not to worried. Though Koni did tell me that the rears are not externally adjustable. I'm thinking of getting Koni Spec V inserts for the front to gain the extra inch, and running AGXs in the rear. Not sure how that setup will be, but I will try it out.

I'm getting my pillow mount custom make for the rear end with a common spring setup. I'm excited about that. If they turn out good and there's an intrest the guy might be willing to make a few more sets. They buy me about an inch more travel and I can use the stock spring bushings and eliminate half the BS stuff on the shaft so its just shock, bumpstop, pillowball mount.

You can use the SpecV's in the rear if you want, just insert them into the stock rear housings as you would the front.

B14s have shocks in the rear not struts so there is no housing. We can use the spec V shocks, but you have to take it off to adjust it still.

Or you can have Steve Foltz (98SR20VE) make you some CSK's! I personally found a set of used old school Motivational Coilovers with the pillowball mounts with Koni inserts and had them rebuilt. A bit pricey but worth every Penny!!!
