Thread: Exhaust Systems?

On the market for a exhaust system. Anyone got any ideas or input on a good exhaust system for my B14 SE-R? Pics and video would help out big time! Thanks in advance.

I know its said pretty often, but an exhaust shop can make you one for a decent price.

It really depends on what you want and your car's setup.

I don't know if vrs makes a b14 kit.

I have a b13 that I want to put an exhaust on soon. I was going to buy a big resonator and a non space ship looking muffler and the vrs bend kit and have someone local weld it up.

I have a 2.5 vrs on my car with the magnaflow muffler, it is really loud and raspy, I put a resonator on it and it quieted it down a lot and got rid of a lot of rasp but it still has a way to go, next is a quiet muffler

Just had a custom exhaust put on my B14 when I had the VE installed. 2.5", original cat, resonator and muffler. Muffler is a Magnaflow straight through with a 7" case, and I think the resonator is also a Magnaflow. Exhaust is so quiet, I can't hear it over the booming from the header and Prothane mounts.
Cost me about $550.

OEM makes them now, they are pretty nice.

custom exhausts are the way to go 2.5inch with your choice of resonator and muffler then get some mandrel bent ss piping and have it installed

how about name brand ones? good sounding, not too loud. im going the good DD route for now. already have intake and headers, just need an exhaust system now.

name brand ones arent bad but if you build your own you can more or less control how its going to sound verses getting a premade exhaust you cant really control how it is going to sound
