B14 Rev-Limit/ Others
I'm curious, I've been looking into the 200SX's for a while and had a few questions.

1. Why is the stock rev-limit 7k instead of 7.5k like in the B13's?
2. Stock suspension wise, how does it compare to the NX2000?

Thanks.

Because B13 and NX2000 > B14 xP

I really have no idea tho.

Doesn't the NX have independent rear suspension like the SE-R? If so, it's far better, IMO, than the B14, which has solid rear beam multilink suspension.

Rev-limits, I have no clue as to why they're different. I thought mine was 7200rpm stock, but now it's 8K.

revs are lower somewhere around 7200 instead of the 7500. NX handles better and the brakes are better

I know the brakes are better on my NX and that it would handle better, I just wanted to know by how much of a margin. Apparently a good bit. Well, with a bent rear beam (however that works), how much more does the handling improve on the 200? I still find it odd about the rev-limit being lower, oh well it's easily changeable. Thanks guys.

And 90% of nx's sound like there going to rattle apart at high speeds.

Simple answer to the rev limiter.... Emissions.

The car can still safely go to 7500, but not in first gear (first gear hits the fuel cut off at 7200 rpm). I've hit 7400ish before and still no problems, but it was either from down shifting or redlining it in 2nd or higher gear.

Cool thanks everyone. But what about doing something to the rear end to make it stiffer or something? I think I've read somewhere about bending the rear beam or something like that?

Yes, it corrects the toe in the rear to zero. Only one or two individuals in the US have done this successfully, numerous times, for forum members. One forum member resides in Colorado, IIRC. He has a jig set up so that it's done correctly, every time.

Correcting the rear toe improves responsiveness in the twisties, making the car all around better on a track. It would be a good thing to do, for autox as well. For standard driving, or drag strip? I'm not sure.

Maybe Steve will chime in, but I don't think he's over here.
