Figured I'm overdue for updating, so here goes....

Here are some pictures of the td04hl turbo that used to be on the engine.

After finally gathering the rest of the parts needed, I went with a T04E/T3 turbo. Bought a SS manifold from a Thomasf36, and made a few modifications to it. The manifold was drilled and tapped for an EGT sensor, but still not sure when I'll get around to buying one. So I just stuck a makeshift plug into it for the time being. After trying a few different maf sensors, I finally settled on an E60 maf setup for blow-through. The BOV is a cheapo unit I bought on Ebay to try to save a little cash. It seems to work okay, but I'd like to buy a quality unit in the future. I tried to keep the charge piping as short as I could to increase boost response. I fit everything together as best I could, but there are still several things I want to go back and fix. I cut corners in some places, but did things right where it really counted. I'm sure you guy's will have a field day picking this stuff out in the pics.

There are some things I have bought the parts for to fix, but have just been too lazy to install them in this heat. Things like the oil feed/drain lines, couplers, clamps, etc..

Here is the wastegate I used when I switched turbo setups. A Turbosmart Ultragate 38.

The intercooler is also an Ebay piece. :P I already had a 3" SS catback exhaust with a 14" SS resonator, and an A'pexi N1 muffler. The muffler really doesn't have a ricey sound to it, and the turbo does a pretty good job of keeping the note smooth, and not raspy. The down pipe I had to fab for the most part. I started with a 3" SS setup from....where else.....EBAY! Actually, I bought a downpipe that was the right diameter, flange type, had a flex joint, and had all the right bends in it so I could cut it up, and re-weld for what I needed. Worked out pretty good too. After a lot of measuring, grinding, cutting, and welding, I had my downpipe. Finished it off with some O2 sensor bungs from the local exhaust shop. All the extra 3" SS pipe I used came from work. They replace alot of SS piping routinely, and I got a couple of sections as scrap for free. 304 stainless, and one of the sections already had smooth bends in it.

And here is how the car sits today.

Like I said, I still have a lot of work to do to it yet. Lots of stuff I need to change out, to take the place of some of the stuff I had "rigged". It's not the prettiest b14, but as time goes on, I'll keep making improvements.

As of today, the following has been installed:

T04E/T3 turbo
Custom SS manifold
Wiseco 9.1:1 forged pistons
BC Sportsman rods
ACL bearings
New timing chain and tensioners
S15 444cc injectors
Z32 fuel filter
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
Turbosmart Ultragate 38 wastegate
2" Screamer pipe
Full 3" stainless exhaust with 14" resonator and A'pexi N1 muffler
Half size 2" core all aluminum radiator w/ 12" pusher fan
E60 MAF
3" core intercooler
2.5" charge piping
3" intake piping
A mess of couplers and clamps
Generic filter
NismoTronic B13 basic ecu and OBDII to OBDI stepdown harness (from Zero99)
A'pexi SAFC 2
AEM UEGO wideband
SPi oil temp, oil press., and boost gauge
Blue LED gauge lighting
6000K HID headlights

Parts that I have that need to be installed:

VE oil pump
Braided SS turbo oil feed/return lines and fittings
New misc hoses
BC 0201 264* cams
Misc T-bolt clamps and proper angled silicone couplers
Front and rear strut tower braces

I still need to do some things like removing the egr system completely, and changing that shitty autozone valve cover gasket that started leaking almost immediately. Also cleaning up the bay some more. Maybe a wire tuck, painting the valve cover, and whatever else I feel inspired to do.

As far as exterior, I'd like to get rid of that pinstriping first. The car could REALLY use some new paint too. Also, I'd like to switch to a P11 front bumper cover, unless I find a really tasteful body kit. I'd also like to start on the suspension as well.

Well, that's about it for now.

Mods, can this be moved to the "Member's Rides" section? Seem more appropriate there. Thanks.
