My B14 build! DE+T
I've got a 96 200SX SE-R I've had for some years now. It's been an awesome car and now it's time to make it bettter. I went with a TD04HL-15t turbo on stock RWD turbo manifold. I couldn't find a bluebird mani cheap enough at the time, and I got this for a steal. I have a lot in store for my beloved b14, and will probably have lots of questions .

Here are some old pics of when the b14 first went under the knife. I'll get better and more recent pics soon.

Yeah, I know. Lol. I first bought a T04E, but later realized what all I was going to need to run it properly. So the td04 is just something to play with until I can replenish my funds.

At least when I can afford the bigger injectors, ecu, and such for the T04E, I'll already have a base turbo setup to work from.

Just finished my build this past weekend, and even though everyone's crackin' on my tiny td04 turbo I must say I was very pleased. Especially after I settled the wastegate at about 12psi. It spools up at about 2200-2400 and pulls pretty good until about 6200. That bigger compressor made a heck of a difference. My friend says I won't know what boost really is until I get the T04E installed. Lol. I have to agree though. Yesterday he said he was going to show me a "real" turbo....and plops down a Holset MF'ing MONSTER turbo off some diesel. The thing had to weigh about 50lbs! He said for a case of beer, he'd figure out some way to cram it under my hood. :O

The only thing I feel that didn't turn out well was how I had to completely butcher the stock bumper cover to get that 3" core intercooler to fit. It's hideous looking. One of those drift style covers would work great, but I really don't want to see my car posted on the "Ricer spotted" thread. lol.

Other than that, I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out.

nice i kinda like smaller turbos for the faster full boost and full powerband you cant beat a small turbo at least untill you max out the psi or power efficency of the turbo

Not sure about ANY td04, but this particular turbine had a T2 flange.

What's not shown in the pics, is where I had to fab up an adapter. One of holes in the flange of the turbine was threaded directly into the housing. So I had to make an adapter to mount between the mani and turbine, to be able to use bolts for either flange. Studs weren't an option.
