Thread: G20 SR20 motor swap?

ok, i found a 93 g20 w/ an SR20, automatic, seems in good condition.

my question is, is this engine any different from the SE-R's?

and i know it may seen dumb asking but i guess better safe than sorry, pretty sure they are the same... are front fenders and hood any different from 4 door sentra's and 200sx? The folks i bought the 200 from didnt really keep the cars' exterior in good shape, paint is faded, chipped and peeling. found a white 4 door sentra just wanted to see if i can swap these so i dont look so ghetto

It's still an SR, but it's a highport, and not a lowport. If you're going to swap it over, you'll need to use the sensors from the 1995 SR on the 1993 SR, since the 93 is OBD1 and the 95 is OBD2.

The front fenders and hood from a 4 door B14 should fit on a 2 door B14, but your SAFEST bet is to just order new parts from certifit. They're really cheap and have good quality.

Fenders, hood, bumpers, grill, headlights, corners, all are interchangeable from the 200sx to the Sentra. Trunks and tails are not.

I think he has a 1.6 Cliff, you will also need all the parts to swap from 1.6 to 2.0, there's a ton of info on the forums about the swap. It's prolly cheaper to just get a JDM motor with fewer miles, they are really cheap now.
