Question
Has anyone ever had or have their B14 on megan coilovers? How was the ride?

I never have, and here's why:

(From the Suspension Thread)

Including but not limited to Eibach (Prokit or Sportline), Dropzone, H&R, Intrax, Megan Racing, Progress, Sprint, Suspension Techniques, Tein H-Techs and S-Techs, Tokico, Vogtland....etc....etc.... Too low and too soft, the entire lot of them. They will not work with OEM length struts worth a damn. After discussions with Steve (98sr20ve) a few of them, as indicated, will work well ("decent" is Steve's exact words) with CSK's (remember, Custom Shortened Koni's) for a daily driver. They may be OK if you have glass smooth roads in your area. You are going against all conventional SR20Forum wisdom if you decide to buy any of these brands. They were not designed properly by the manufacturers.

Now I realize that's from the Spring section and not the Coilover, but Megan has such quality problems as was detailed here, that it warrants warning on all fronts. Megan, as far as I'm concerned, is not worth the time or them money when they're made so bad and significantly better suspension products are out there for our cars.

Those bolded areas are enough for me to not go anywhere near Megan. I'm sure you'll find people who claim to love them, but how much they know about suspension will be debatable. If you look hard enough, you'll always find someone willing to 100% recommend something without knowing jack sh!t about what he's talking about.

A rare instance this is, as I'm confident recommending against Megan products entirely for our cars, without having ridden it myself. The amount of accuracy, information, and testing the suspension thread has is more than enough to deter me and hopefully everyone else.

Personally, I'm doing some research on the coilovers as we speak, and should I find anything to the contrary I'll edit this post. But, until then, I stand by my distrust for Megan's knowledge of B14 suspension geometry.

Make a few more threads on the same topic... Read the suspension thread as you have been told and buy what you want after that. There is no more info out there that is valuable for our cars. If you choose not to listen no one else can help you. Buy crappy suspension and you get crappy suspension.

Thanks for your input

I don't think you're going to find many reviews on them for our chassis. That's the bottom line. As I'm sure you're well aware, the community we are all part of is VERY tightly knit. There are very few options out there, and they've all pretty much been tried and tested on our platform by one person or another. The party line pretty much suggests that it's not the recommended setup. Will they work? Yes. Will the work WELL? Not likely.
