Thread: Car Wont Start?

Hi I have a Nissan Sentra 1997 GXE and basically what happen was I entered the freeway and was starting to get at around 60. after that the car wouldn't respond with me pressing the gas so it just basically rolled until it was down to 0 and before it went down to 0 all the lights on the cluster all came on. (oil light etc)

The last thing i remember on the CEL was the VSS was bad i guess..
The battery has been taken to AutoZone for a charge and the car had to be towed back home.

Also before this the starter was replaced and have had it replaced about more then 5 times.... (I was also told by a car shop that the teeth or something might be bad?..) but it was fine ever since i was able to drive to LA and Back (which is like a 1 hour drive.)

When all the lights come on and it dies on you while going down the road, it is typically the alternator. What happens is the alternator took a dump and the battery is drained down to keep the car running to the point the battery dies to. Once this happens you can't start it or anything because there is no reserve.
