Is the shifter cut? This can also increase shifter effort.

No, its just the nismo short shifter. Its prob only about 6-8 inches long (a good guess, havent measured it)

I tried it after fixing the clutch cable and its still too stiff. The clutch feels nice though. Maybe I need to move my shifter up? Like its too short?

I hope you kept your 1.6 cable cause there's no need to when you do a swap.

I got a new one just to have it. I still have the 1.6 in my trunk though...never know when youll need an extra

I have the same problem. The shifter feels way to stiff. I got a nismo shift nob and it helps. I want to go back to stock though.
