Cliff The line from the CAI is there to give vacuum signal to the solenoids that are connected to it. IIRC, without the vacuum lines there the solenoids will not operate. They see vacuum signal and start the process of evacuating the charcoal canister on the back of the car, as well as control the EGR function.
On a 95-97, you can remove most of the clutter, since they do not have enhanced evap/EGR control/monitoring.
Yeah that's what I figured, it was throwing a MAP code, found one on eBay for cheeeeeeep. As I took the old one off I happened to notice it.... god only knows how long it's been disconnected. Might have been since I put the LSD trans in
