Wiper Link Assembly & Ball Retainer Replacement
B14's suffer from this a bit from what I've understood. After a while, the seal balls go bad, pop off, and then your wipers stop working (which is convenient when it snows or rains).

Well, I'm looking to fix it here this week and I'm wondering what exactly I need to purchase. I was going to get them from the junkyard, but after thinking about it and finding that most at the yard were going bad as well I decided to just grab it all new from the stealership.

Anyone ever done this before? If I can get away with just buying the cup things I'll roll with it... I think my arms are fine.

I remember having that happen to me with my 1st sentra. I cant remember if it was the motor itself, or just a simple reseal.

This happened to me on my Old B14. It was an easy fix. You just have to take off the plastic piece where the wipers are and everything is easy to get to

Yeah, I've gotten into the area... the motor is working fine. The arm fell off of the pivot assembly in the middle. I'm just wondering if I need to replace the ball socket only, or the whole arm? I'm trying to buy the parts.

edit: Damn, just realized the ball sockets are like 2 bucks and the arm is lik 11 bucks! lol. I guess I should just cop them now.

i believe you only need the socket. Mine popped in the middle of a torrential rain. NOT FUN.

If you can buy the sockets by themselves thats the cheapest way to go, but if not then see below:

I just had this happen on the P11 this past summer. I ordered replacement linkage arms from Justin in Arizona and the wipers were perfect after I put the new ones on. Some say you need to replace the pivots also but I thinks unnecessary.

Meens... I had this happen to me about 2 years ago. All you need are the arms. The balls are going to be fine. It's just the plastic joint that goes bad. I know your feelings on this... many times it came down bad and I couldn't go anywhere.

The arms will pop off with some good work. Good luck and let me know if you need any pointers.
