I've been wondering about this. Aren't AGX's on 2F 4R (or something) supposed to be "stock" settings? And aren't GR-2's supposed to be just barely stiffer than stock? And don't some people run AGX's on 1F 1R? So would GR-2's (with RM or hyperco) be adequate for a dd/autox, or are AGX's designed for stiffer springs and GR-2's for stock spring rates?
To OP though, I think if you are going to pay ~$200 for GR-2's, may as well spend a little more to have adjustability. You really can feel a difference in the settings, and it will make the car more desirable if you sell it. Also, you can get a new set for a B14 for around $375, which I don't think is too expensive for a set of four adjustable shocks/struts that have a good reputation.
