Thread: Clutch pedal:

I just recently installed a brand new Competition 6 six-sprung clutch. After installation, I noticed that the clutch pedal has a lot of play. I would say more than half way pressed is all play, and the rest of the 3-4 inches is the actual part where the clutch is activated. Before the new clutch was installed, it wasn't like this. My question is why does it have so much play now, and what can I do to fix it. My buddy of mine, who installed the clutch already adjusted the cable to it's max so it wouldn't have much play. But seeing that it has more than it should, I am interested in a answer.

I have a similar issue but I just got used to it and never figured it out. I know some people use a spacer to allow them to adjust the cable more. There are some pictures in this post.

I believe there are also adjustments you can make to the clutch pedal height but I haven't done that so I am not entirely sure. Check the manual, I think it has some specs for the recommended height/play.
