Feeler How's your shift boot? Want me to make a new one for you?
Since Ive only done 200sx's (not sure if the Sentra, B13, B15, G20, 240, or nx2000 are the same but I will be willing to try), and there is no interior section of the forum so ill post this here. (Feel free to move it)

Every time I go to the junkyard I see a ripped shift boot in at least one car, and when I bought both of my 200sx's the boots were ripped. Ive been thinking of something to do over the summer while I'm unemployed, so I figured I could make some shift boots. I do headliners and carpeting in cars so why not do shift boots. I know of no aftermarket boot that will fit over the wire ring under the boot bezel, so I ended up sewing my own, and I was thinking other forum members would want one too. Basically I'm going to make these vehicle specific so I can do any material or color.

Suede, Leather, Crushed Velvet, Tweed, Cotton, Spandex, Polyester, Terry Cloth, Vinyl, Animal Prints, Camouflage, an old T-shirt or Sweatshirt, anything you can think of, and even the new carbon fiber vinyl that is very popular in BMW's, Porsche's and Mercedes'

I can make the boots shorter than stock or longer.

All that I would need is the trim bezel, wire ring (usually sewn into old fabric), the rubber retainer at the top, and the measurement from the top of the bezel to where the bottom of the shift knob is. If you have the rubber shift boot (usually 1.6L stock) I would have to play around with it to see if I could make a boot to fit.

I usually travel from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Port St. Lucie/ Ft. Pierce,FL regularly so I could easily meet with people for measurements in South Florida.

I'm thinking the price for the shift boots would be around $30-$50 depending on material, shipping, and/or travel. I also do headliners, custom stock grills (Pics to come later) and replacement carpeting.

I'm going to be driving up to Pennsylvania Saturday Aug. 29th and return to Florida around the 14th of September, so I want to generate some interest for when I come back.

Mike
