Thread: weekend fixes.

I pulled my transmission on Saturday with the help of my dad. The axles came out with just a couple of pulls everything went smooth and good.Its off to the shop for a new 5th gear kit.I've got a JWT flywheel and b15 clutch kit going in as well. The rear main seal is also getting replaced , huge leak from that. I also did a complete tune up and noticed that spark plug #1 had oil on it...Its weird it doesnt smoke and runs like a raped ass ape... It took about 3-4 hours . So far this was the biggest thing I've done to my car..Just wanted to say thanks for all the great write-ups and help from everyone....

Was the oil on the plug on the electrode or on the top? If on the top, then your valve cover gasket is leaking.

was on the electrode.....that's bad huh??

It could be that the oil chillin' in the plug valley got on the tip when you pulled out the plug. I wouldn't worry about oil on the plug, it's 99% likely to be from the valve cover leaking into the plug valley and it got on there when you pulled out the plug. Seen it happen a million times.

mine does the same exact thing. After every drive I take the plugs out clean them off and let them chill. Start it up and let it burn the oil off and im good. I just need to get a valve cover gasket asap.

the middle bolt on the valve cover was very loose hmmmm.
