Thread: HELP? 200sx se-r

so i got my 96 200sx se-r and its a good car but its got 108xxx miles now and lots of things that go bad around 100xxx miles are starting to fail the car leaks lots of oil and tranny fluid .... i have a 2500$ budget so i was thinking mb some people and help me deside whats best for my car any ideas are welcom

fix the leaks and whatever else is wrong. I'm sure you can with $2500. Wish I had an SR with only 108k miles. I got one at 152k and another at 217k. Both still drive great.

i was looking to do a ve swap im look to have a good DD with some nice power too i would like to know what some ppl have a how much thay have spent

You should fix the leaks and throw an easy turbo setup on it.... Check the members rides section. Mines close to the top its a 95 200sx ser

Nice 200 but idk if a turbo car would be good for a dd my bro's DSM has alway got problems

my b14 has 236k and it is now leaking oil n powering steering fluid!!!

love to leak under my car is always wet i want to go ve but idk if i cant do it with my budget and if my trans. will hold up... comments ?

Get the car fixed properly, then save money, then think about the VE swap.

lol 108k miles?! My car has 151k miles and I'm going to put a GT2871r on it. Plus, it's my DD. Yes, I'm crazy.

the milage is nothing. if your planning VE dont waist the money fixing the DE, nothing will transfer over. the tranny i could see spending the money, because you will reuse the tranny. if anything its prob just the seals unless the tranny is cracked....

your budget is definatly good for a VE plus upgrades
