200sx engine swap?
I recently bought a 1995 200sx with a blown engine planning to put in an sr20det. But there are so many different submodels of the engine I don't know which one to put in the car without changing the engine mounts. So which one could fit into the FWD 200sx?

I have a few engines that I've found that MAY work:

Tiger Japanese Auto Parts LTD - SR20 DET DOHC Engine only for AWD Transmission Turbo Ninifi

JDM Engine Depot

JDM Engine Depot

JDM Engine Depot

...And no, I do not know how to wrap those in HTML. But please help, I'd like to know what engine to buy.

All of those will bolt to the stock mounts as long as your 200sx is an SE-R that came with an SR20DE .... If its a 1.6L car , you will need all of the SR mounts and crossmember to make it work !!

So I really just need one of the engines, 2 of the mounts from JGY Customs(they make a front and passenger mount), and the exhaust, radiator, clutch and what not? Because its the SE haha....except the interior, thats all switched out with the SE-R stuff

I was thinking about the bluebird with the top mounted intercooler(to look awesome with my hood scoop, of course) but the GTiR engine seems to have about 30 extra whp. Why are the same engine models having different power ratings?

^x2 i did years of research before doing my 1.6 to SR swap. Just have in mind what you want and then figure out what you need to do to get there do as much research as you can, power potential, upgrading, cost factor. This is the best place hands down to info on these cars/ motors take advantage of it knowledge here is power! Horsepower that is!

No, it has the 1.6 GA16DE and I already have that same engine in my 92 Sentra.

Yeah, Phat SX, I've searched all over the nissan forums and havent really found any real definative information...just people talking about it but not saying if they're done it or not. Now I'm just debating on getting the bluebird engine or the GTiR engine. I'm guessing that either engine would fit but it comes down to the cost factor. Although the GTiR has 30 more horseys it costs a lot more.

You need to do a lot more digging about that swap... my advice: sell your car and buy a SE-R. Trust me it will save you so much time and headache plus you could just turbo the US engine instead of buying a whole other engine.

There aren't any around here, it was hard enough just finding a 200sx at all.

I think the swap will work though. After all, the 200sx is just a sentra coupe and a lot of people put these 2 engines in sentras.
