I ended up(after wrecking two sawsall blades) just drilling a few holes in the side then putting a punch in the holes and bending in the collar that way then a few good wacks with a BFH and voila ready for some new shinny red ones.

Well, I didn't take pics, but I went and got a saw this morming and got the old mount out. The new one popped right in and is in the car. Now I'm pissed that I let this spook me. After all I've done to the car and I couldn't do this! I'll keep on until I'm done. I guess now I'll put the pre pressed mounts that I bought in the moment of "pissed offness" up for sale when they show up.

I used a hacksaw blade with handle to cut the sleve like half way. After that I used a hammer and chisle in the same area the sleeve popped right out yup.

Okay everyone. After you all did this install. Did your car run like crap? My idle is off and the ENTIRE CAR rattels and vibrates SO BAD I can not hear the car run while sitting inside. Will the mounts go through a break in stage and settle down? When I started up I thought the motor was going to jump in my lap. I felt more power but its not drivable too me.

Welcome to the world of prothanes...

It will get more manageable after they break in, but still everything vibrates. Now from what I've been hearing all we ever need is the front and the rear mounts, side mounts are not as important.

So I'm highly thinking about stock or stock/silicon filled side mounts.

I think you are over-reacting. But I've ran Prothanes for so long I don't notice any more. They may settle some over time.

Maybe your car needs a tune up. Now you can have fun chasing rattles from loose panels and tightening them down. If you had speakers installed and the door skin was put back on incorrectly or the sunroof screws are loose or the head unit... you get the idea.

I had no noticeable difference when I swapped over to prothanes from blown stock mounts. Of course I was used to driving the B13 GA rattle box so that might have something to do with it. The only problem I had after installing them was that I disconnected my starter signal wire some how so I thought my starter had gone bad, but other then that no problems with idle or anything.

Yeh, you get used to it. I've got a rear prothane and a solid front mount...along with an idle on C2's...It gets interesting, but all worth it when your pressing....

Yeah. For the last 18 years of having sr20's I guess I am over reacting a bit. But, MAN what a different world. Luckly I know which bolts to tighten up for Monday when I adjust the Idle. I'll get use to them like everything else I've done to the car. Just a big shock at low rpm's! I hope they settle in a bit though. All is fine once I'm up to speed.

It does get better, and you do get used to it, but other people don't. I used to hate it when people would ride with me and they would say, "what's wrong with your car?" Oh didn't you know? My Sentra is a race car.

They work very well, but the rattling is a deal-breaker for me. The setup I really like is stock sides, ES rear, and a solid metal (no bushing) front dogbone. Zero wheelhop, zero engine movement, very little vibration and harshness.
