Discouraged with prothane mount install
I know I'm heading in the right direction, but I guess I need to be reassured of my work. After two hours of non stop pounding. The pics show how far I got. I know the pass side mount is harder to take out, but after two straight hours of blunt force trauma I am discouraged. I cannot see a difference from the old mount and the mount housing because of all the chewed metal. Here are the reference pics.

I have used screw drivers and chisels and followed how the too's from my search. I plan on looking for smaller fatter chisels today. I tried pounding inward and that only popped a hole in the metal (as seen in the pics) thinking then that I could start working my way towards the center. Thus giving me more room to keep pounding it out. How long has this taken any of you to do. Any info/help/words of encouragement? Thanks

Send me your new Prothanes and $60 and I will send you my new prothanes that are already pressed. Once you install them send me back your stock mounts.

Man your on! I'll ship it out today along with the mount seen in the pics. How do you want to work out the payment. I will need them back and in the car before 6-10. I guess just PM me your info.

Yeah I seemed to think so. I sprained my neck late in March so it has sucked. Especially today. I'm paying for it.

Can't go wrong there buy the time you buy the tools to complete the work you would have spent double of what andreas is selling them for. Very good deal if you ask me.

using an power saw was a good idea. I know how this feels. i even thought about keeping the stock mounts for a second. you'd want to cut a part of the inner metal rim with the saw (it will smell). and then chissel the sh*t out of it and it will be out really easy.
