foglight bulbs

Has anyone replaced the oem 55watt h3 bulbs with 100watt h3 bulbs??If so will this hurt anything ,get too hot ,burn up wires?? Mine need replaced..

B14 stock foglight bulbs are 35W H3 Special's. yes, a PUNEY 35W. mine were upgraded many yrs ago to 55W (switchable w/o the headlights being on) with no prob's. c/o the old sr20 mailing list and/or archives, or elsewhere, for specifications/instructions.
