Friend Has a Engine from a (1993 G20)
I am not sure if I can post this in here but here I go:
I have a 1996 200SX SER stock with about 200k on it. My engine was owned by an old lady and I was able to pick this car up from the original owner. The car drives nicely and I became interested in a "Turbo" for it. I was told, "Oh yeah the SR20DE can accept a BOLT-ON turbos." After some research I have found that nearly everyone that has made a sick SR20DE adding a turbo has done so using the 240SX RWD platform. Also most of the engine types and upgrades are confusing and the information research is slow due to the make and model being over 10 years old.
My question is: Can I bolt on a turbo to a stock SR20DE with 200k on it?
And: Is my friend's engine he is trying to sell me a 93 G20 SR20DET a good start?
Sounds to me like most people had to also increase injector size, upgrade clutch plate, add a electronic control unit etc... can someone please help me decipher this jumble of info? I am a quick study!
Thank you,
Justin
