B&M shifter issue

Installed shifter and i am heariing a metal hitting metal sound coming from the shifter area.
It only happens when slidding the shifter to 5 th or Reverse , anyone experience this?

j00 got a heatshield problem. did you bang the heatshield out a little bit during the install?

If you look in eggman's build thread there is a picture of his exhaust shield dented down enough.

You can also take off the heat shields. Many, including myself have had no problems in doing so.

took off all heat shields , still hits a little.

i live , its not that bad.
