Flashing gauge cluster light
Hi guys, quick question. Tried searching but came up with nothing.

Few months back the girlfriend bought a 95 Sentra (1.6...she's happy with it!). It passed inspection fine, but there is a FAINT blinking light in the gauge cluster you can only see when it gets dark. It's the cluster without a tach. It's on the left side of the gauge. There are two columns on the left, it's the one on the ride side of the left (if that makes sense, the one closer to the speedo) and is the middle light.

Anyone have any ideas what this is? Thanks in advance!

SRS is now in Diagnosis mode.
4. "AIR BAG" warning lamp operates in diagnosis mode as follows:
1. on (7 sec) off (2 sec) on (3 sec) off (2 sec) on (3 sec)....
Intermittent problem has been detected in the past.
2. on (7 sec) off (2 sec) on (3 sec) off (2 sec) on/off (.5 sec)
system has problem and needs to be repaired.

If its just the first pattern the light will stop blinking. If its the other, your car needs service.

Edit - And you said its really faint.. Id replace the bulbs, its probably near dead from blinking forever.

nice info, will this test work on my 200 se-r as well, becuz every since i put in a new clutch cable my air bag light has been on...

air bag light
Hello Char,

My airbag light is blinking. IN your DIY, you said turn to ON and then hit the driver's switch. Do you mean the power lock switch? Is there anyway to get it to stop blinking once complete with the diagnostic mode?
