Well I had enough of the other oil in my shop so I used it all up. And if I hadn't it would have gone to waste. That kept me from having to buy any oil this time. Just the OE filter. I always rock the 65F00. Thanks for all the info. I'll keep it all on the back burner for now.
mainly M1 10w-30 until last year. read around the bitog forums to discover that M1 isn't a fully synthetic after all. so, feeling ripped off @ those fully synthetic prices, i switched to castrol syntec blend 10w-30. add to that, the VE burns a lot more oil than the DE ever did, and it's a no brainer to switch to a less expensive high quality oil. i'll probably pack 3 quarts with me on the ~3000 round trip to LA and Vegas. hope to come home with ~1/2-3/4 quart left.

Your actually wasting your money on buying a blend. Pennzoil Platinum has good oil analysis and its 19 bucks for 5 quarts at walmart.
