Hey Steve, I wanted to thank your buddy for coaching my one and only session on Friday. Is he a member on these forums?

^I believe that was pimpm3 in the VID from post #4. That's what he said on the old forum. The wheels look like his wheels when I paused the VID as well.

Ben -

I actually just joined this forum the other day. Steve had to explain the whole "two forum" concept to me over the weekend I've been lurking on the other forum for about a month, for the most part catching up on convention news.

It was a pleasure meeting and instructing you on Friday, you are an excellent driver and have done a great job of building your car. I was really looking forward to riding along with you in one of the later sessions, but I guess it wasn't to be. Glad that you made it home OK, and it looks like your motor isn't hurting as much as you originally thought, which is great news!

The SR20 definitely has a great community, exemplified by people like Ben and the many others that I met over the course of last weekend. You have a lot of fun, but are always willing to go the extra mile to help another in need, and that says a lot!

Hopefully at some point I'll be picking up an SR20 of my own so I can join in on the fun!

Take Care,

DJ

Thanks for the kind words DJ. I really had a great time the short bit we were out on the track together. I'd loved to have continued to learn as I feel like I was only scraping the tip of the iceberg. I'm going to resolve the car issues and make sure things are reliable for next time. Thanks again for all your help and encouragement. Don't be a stranger to this forum. There's a lot of good knowledge here and friendly folks.

I won't soon forget you saying "I just can't get over the power." =D

If you want to know what you were riding in that morning you can check out my build thread (in my signature).
