Half a dozen cars or more, not sure any particular reason other than you pretty much drive the track at the top of the tach, 3rd or 4th gear, and I guess I was winding 3rd up to ~7000-7200 before shifting, and most of the back of the course I'd take in 3rd. Probably combo of sustained high revs exposed any problems. It wasn't hot out but did see some cars overheating.

I know the feeling, popping the coil wire at 90 mph between 3-4 shift, and not knowing why all my power just went away is not a good feeling. Helluva lot easier to fix, tho' - just a new cap and spreading the metal made it tight enough. No harm, no drama...

Yep, I was running new Kuhmo XS's which seem to work great, I just haven't really found their breakaway point yet, so esp in the long sweepers I wouldn't give it 100%. No excuses, I just like to know when they're going to break loose on me before I'm out in the weeds - they never did, other than a wiggle or two in the rear under braking - which means I left a lot of potential speed in the longer corners. Ok by me, first time I've had that car on the track, and I need it to get home to CT on Sunday!

Chris, I would sit back a few lengths when he was in front of me (briefly, at least the tim I could see his car) until the course either a) straightened out a little, or b) corner opened up, that guy loves to power through the long sweepers with velocity on "maximum" - experience counts, and with him it shows

Dunno if I like his color choice, though...I think the black has been overdone

Yeah, first time for me on real track tires - Nitto NT01s on the 15x8 6UL's. These have been in my garage since Auguat last year cause I didn't end up getting the car done in time for Vegas
