On Friday, October 10th, a track day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway kicked off the convention weekend. It was followed by the now-traditional “free day” on Saturday to explore the city, and a car show and picnic on Sunday. Although those who attended had a blast, attendance had almost completely dropped off in 2008. Thankfully, Joe Schintzius had already started planning a revival plan for 2009.
