CV issues -- cv fault or transmission fault?
Hey all,
We just got back from Oregon Raceway Park where we had an absolute blast whipping the crap out of our poor NX . However, it developed an issue. The driver's side CV keeps popping out of the transmission. We came up with a better clip thing on the end of the CV and jabbed that in there, but it still came out, under race conditions, on a track.
So, do you think we just have a whack CV on that side, or do you think there's something busted-ass in our transmission that's causing it not to hold on?
On that note, we need the car in track condition by Halloween, so if it involves rebuilding the stock b13 transmission that's in there.. I'd rather just pick up a spare and use it, and get to the one I've got over the winter. I don't even care if it's suffering 5th gear popout, as we're not using 5th on track.. unless we're at Spokane :P.
