4.4 CrownWheel+Pinion > N/lsd box
Quick question, do the Oem 4.4/vlsd crownwheel and pinon fit into the Nlsd/4.1 cars?

Reason being is i have a Nismo lsd with a 4.1FDR, and a 4.4 FDR will set me back $1200 which isn't terrible im just checking my options..

VVL on the Street isn't so fun with a 4.1 after second gear and your breaking every speed limit in the country Plus the benifits of acceration of the 4.4 would be great at the track.

Thanks guys

I can tell your from experience that 4.4 is **** on the street. Even with full drag radials the 2.2Final drive sucks. You can do 30 MPH and mash the gas and do rolling burnouts. There is no trackstion.

The car is very buzzy because when driving your very high in the RPM band.

The The 4.4 is only good on slicks.

Yo answer your question the LSF Ring and Pinions do not fit the N LSD boxes. The ring gesr side is diffrent.

Blast, Yeah it gets a bit loose with the 4.1, 4.4 would be nice around the track but yeah i get your point.

I'm sorry but I was under the impression that VZ-R is a better suited gearbox.

thats pretty contentious issue.
The thing is turbofied has the aus-spec ratio's and was wanting just a shorter final drive, rather than the completely different VZR ratio's.

Personally, i find the VZR box with 4.4 FD much better than the std ratios.

Well with a diffrence of about 3-4 MPG. Thats 30-40 miles per tank full.

The xtra noise the engine makes from being to high in the RPM band

The uncontolable wheel spin from a dead stop and a role in 1st gear is terrible.

I and other have come to the conclusion that on the street with a 2L making 200 WHP +, this gear box is the worst.

If you are on the track this gear box is great with slicks.

The SR16VE gear box is not as good as a B13 gear box with the 4.4 final drive.

You get a better 1st and 2nd gear and the 3rd to 4th shift is much closer to each other so you dont get that dead spot that happens with the SR16VE gear box.

So if I was to pick a gear box to go with it would be B13 gear box with 4.4 Final drive.

Yeah well i better get straight cut gears to drown out the exhaust noise then

Toughness goes up another notch.

You do rememeber I said 4.4 from the SR16VE box do not fit in a Non LSD box.

I am just making sure you saw that.

Is that not 4.37 FD.

If so that is a 4.4 FD. You have to round up to the closest number. Its more a 4.4 FD than a 4.3 FD
