Yup exactly. Building a VE-T for myself and a VE with 16VE cams for daily/wife's car.

N1's I hope.

BIG BORE updates?

^Do you guys still feel that the OEM head bolts are good enough to seal the head to the block like we all discussed, or is the gasket the issue based on quality?(Since there are not many options currently). From most of the recent big bore builds it seems that the bottom end has been causing the problem. Are you guys removing the head for testing reasons(trying to reuse it) and not getting a good seal or what?

Seems like getting some golden eagle studs, a bored VE or VET head gasket to 92mm, and copper spary seems like a must(for a longevity seal) since these N/A motors are under so much stress. Been brainstorming on this as I was thinking of settling for 88mm instead. If the sleeves are not giving you guys the problems, then it seems like the gasket issue can be addressed.

Thoughts?

good luck with getting golden eagles... a few months ago when i tried, they were on backorder, and/or possibly discontinued.

Yea stock bolts work fine. My 2.3 270whp was held together with stock bolts.
I just upgraded to studs after the 2.4 since the heads been on and off trying different things. I don't like using the stock bolts a billion times. Otherwise there great.

My stockers held up great after 3 times of reuse. They should do the job. If positive pressure was in the picture, I would upgrade.
