I have 3 running cars at the moment, though each has its issues. The b14 hasn't been driven more than 1k miles in the past 5 years anyway, which is part of the reason I want to do something new with it rather than more tranny shattering turbo power. The NX is up and running, and set to replace my Corolla as my daily, just need to fix the A/C.

I suppose I'll start with the sleeved block, pistons, 8cw crank, and stock head, then work my way from there. Seems most logical to get the stuff out of the way that requires engine removal before I even install it. I always worry about the dangers of doing too much at once and having trouble tracking down the issue.

I just want to enjoy the car again instead of worrying about where there may be some pinhole boost leak or whatever.

I say little by little Will. My build has taken me a lot longer than I expected but, at the end it will be worth it. I am also making sure everything is just the way I want it.

I've been meaning to ask you, since you have direct experience and love boost like I do... am I going to regret this and itch for boost after a little while?

I can not say which one is better than the other. My NA VE was at 203whp and it was a blast to drive. I can't imagine a 270+ whp NA car. That has to be one hell of a ride.

Now with that being said with what I have learned over the years with the cost of building a big block NA VE I can build one hell of a turbo car which I am. You have to be a huge NA fan to invest the time and money into a big bore NA build.

So to answer your question. I don't know. LOL!

In my opinion the MPH rush a high whp turbo car produces is priceless.

I can say the only things I miss about boost is the BOV, external gate, and high boost on the freeway when something v8 or exotic pulls beside you. Thats why I started getting big into juice lol.

A lot of guys are leaving boost and building N/A cars. Its a whole different feel. I would go for it. A 92x86 motor on smack will be a blast. Or so I hope in my case, lol.

Once you taste boost it's hard to get off of it. This is why I hesitated to go VE only for a while. Now that I want better gas mileage, and have the parts to spare, VE+T it is.

Yup exactly. Building a VE-T for myself and a VE with 16VE cams for daily/wife's car.
